Easy Baby Booties These are the simplest booties you will ever make. The only 2 sts you need to know are how to chain (ch) and how to single crochet (sc).For this project you will need 1/2 ounce of worsted weight yarn, size H crochet hook, scissors and a darning needle. The piece you make will look like a large "T" when you are finished. To begin you will need to decide which size to make. This pattern comes in 4 sizes - NB, 0-3 mo. 3-6 mo. 6-9 mo. and 9-12 mo. [NB (0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12)] For NB ch 23, ch 25 for (3-6 mo), ch 29 for (6-9 mo.) or ch 31 for (9-12 mo.) Aligator Kitchen Towel Crochet Pattern

Today I decided my kitchen needed a little boost and I started with the idea of a new hand towel for my Florida range. Now that I am retired, we spend part of the year in Southern Florida. (Getting out of that Michigan cold.) I love nature and have a nature themed home so I thought an alligator towel would fit right in. For this project I used Peaches and Cream cotton yarn in a sage green color and an I hook. I love this yarn, it is so easy to work with and can be found at most larger stores. To begin with I had to decide on a stitch. I thought a simple st of single crochet and double crochet would make a great rough texture that would look more "Alligator-Like." So I single crocheted in the 2nd ch from the hook and then I double crocheted in the next st. I repeated ths pattern across the row of chains. Then I chained 1 st and turned my work around. Simple Baby Slippers

Today I have decided to show you how to crochet a simple one piece baby bootie. For this tutorial you will need to know how to chain (ch), single crochet (sc) and single crochet in the back loop only (blo.)  You will also need to know how to change yarn colors. (Many good tutorials are online.)  The materials you will need are 1 to 1 ½ ounces of main color yarn, ½ to 1 ounce of contrasting color. Lastly you will need scissors and a darning needle.  Sizes come in (0-3 mo, 3-6 mo, 6-12 mo.)  Pattern stitch count will be in parenthesis in order of size.  To begin, make a ch of (17, 21, 23.) Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. You have made (16, 20, 22) sts.  For Rows 2 - 11 you will ch 1 and turn and sc in each of the (16, 20, 22) sts across.  The next step is optional but I like to do it for a more finished look. Ch 1 and turn work to the raw side. Make 11 sc across this side.Now ch 1 and turn work to beginning ch edge. Sc in each of the next (16, 20, 22) sts. Ch 1 and make
