Scarf End Motif – Make 2
Rnd 1: With pink thread and size B hook, ch 5. Join the first ch to form a ring. Ch 1, make 12 sc in the ring. Join the first sc with a sl st.
Rnd 2: ** Ch 3, make trc in the same st. In next sc make trc and ch 3, sl st back into the same st. Sl st in next st. * Repeat around. (6 petals.) End off pink and weave in the end.
Rnd 3: Note: This round will be worked in the back loop only. (blo) Attach green thread in the top blo of any beginning ch-3 on a petal with a sl st. ** Ch 4, sl st in blo in top of next ch-3 on same petal.
Ch 4, sl st in blo in the top of ch-3 on the next petal. * Repeat from ** to * around. End with ch 1, dc in blo on beginning sl st. This will put the thread in position for the next rnd.
Rnd 4: ** Ch 3, yo hook and insert in the space. Pull loop up (3 loops on hook) yo and draw through 2 loops on hook. (2 loops left.) Yo the hook and insert in the same space. Pull up a loop. (4 loops on the hook.) Yo and draw through 2 loops on the hook. (3 loops on a hook.) Yo and pull through all 3 loops on the hook. Ch 3, yo and insert hook in 3rd ch from hook. Pull loop up (3 loops on hook) yo and draw through 2 loops on hook. (2 loops left.) Yo the hook and insert in the same ch. Pull up a loop. (4 loops on the hook.) Yo and draw through 2 loops on the hook. (3 loops on the hook.) Yo and pull through all 3 loops on the hook.
Sl st in next ch-4 loop.* Repeat from ** to * around. 24 clusters made.
Rnd 5: Sl st in next 3 chs into the tip where the 2 clusters meet. Ch 1, sc between clusters.
** Ch 7, sc in the next space between joined clusters.*
Repeat from ** to * around. End with, ch 3, trc in beginning sc to put thread in position for next rnd. (12 ch-7 loops.)
Rnd 6: Ch 3, (counts as first dc.) Make 2 more dc in the same space. Ch 3, make 3 more dc in the same space. (First corner made.) Ch 4 dc in the next space. **Ch 7 sc in next space. Ch 4, In next space make, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc.) Third corner made. Ch 4, dc in next space. Ch 7 sc in next space. Ch 7, dc in next space. Ch 4, join to the top of beginning ch-3 with a sl st.
Rnd 7: Sl st into next ch-3 corner space. In space make (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc.) Ch 3, sc in next loop. Ch 3, In the next loop make (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc.) Ch 3, In the next loop make (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc.) Ch 3, Sc in next loop. Ch 3, in corner space make (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc.) Ch 3, sc in next loop. Ch 3, sc in next loop. Ch 3, In the next loop make (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc.) Ch 3, In the next loop make (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc.) Ch 3, Sc in next loop. Ch 3, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch-3. End off and weave in for the first piece and set aside. Do not end off for the second piece, but continue with the pattern below.
Begin Scarf and work in rows.
Row 1: Sl st into corner space and into each ch. Ch 4, dc in each of the next 3 dc. Ch 1, turn. Sc in last sl st. (Ch 3, sc in next loop) 9 times. Ch 3, skip 3 dc, sc on top of turning ch. (10 ch-3 loops.) Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Dc in the same st as turning ch-3. Ch 3, skip first space, sc in next space. In the next space make 9 dc. Sc in next space. Ch 3, skip next space, in sc between spaces make 3 dc. Ch 3, skip next space, sc in next space. Make 9 dc in the next space. Sc in next space. Ch 3, make 2 dc in last st. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Make a sc in each of the next 2 dc. (Ch 1, dc in next dc) 9 times. Ch 1, sc in each of the next 3 dc. (Ch 1, dc in next dc) 9 times. Ch 1, sc in each of the last 2 dc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4: Sc in first sc. (Ch 1, dc in next dc) 9 times. Skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. (Dc in next dc, ch 1) 9 times. Skip 1 sc, sc in last sc. Ch 7, turn.

Ch 3, skip 1 ch-1 space, sc in next ch-1 space. (Ch 5, skip 1 dc, sc in the top of the next dc) twice. Ch 5, skip 1 ch-1 space. Sc in next ch 1 space. Ch 3, dc in last sc. Ch 3, turn. (10 loops made.)
Row 6: Dc in the same st as turning ch-3. Ch 3, skip first space, sc in next space. In the next space make 9 dc. Sc in next space. Ch 3, skip next space, make 3 dc in dc between spaces. Ch 3, skip next space, sc in next space. Make 9 dc in the next space. Sc in next space. Ch 3, make 2 dc in the 3rd ch of the turning ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 7: Make a sc in each of the next 2 dc. (Ch 1, dc in next dc) 9 times. Ch 1, sc in each of the next 3 dc. (Ch 1, dc in next dc) 9 times. Ch 1, sc in each of the last 2 dc. Ch 1, turn.

Ch 3, skip 1 ch-1 space, sc in next ch-1 space. (Ch 5, skip 1 dc, sc in the top of next dc) twice. Ch 5, skip 1 ch-1 space. Sc in next ch 1 space. Ch 3, dc in last sc. Ch 3, turn. (10 loops made.)
Repeat Rows 6-9 thirty more times or for desired length ending with row 9.
Attaching opposite end motif
Attach motif by dropping the chain and pulling it under and through the corresponding loop on the motif.
Sl st into 3 dc on motif. Sl st into the next 2 chs on the motif. Join the corresponding loop on the scarf by dropping the chain and pulling it under and through the corresponding loop on the motif. **Sl st in the (next loop on the scarf, the next sc and the next 2 loops on the next loops on the scarf. Join the corresponding loop of the motif by dropping the chain and pulling it under and through the corresponding loop on the motif.* Repeat from ** to * across. End off and weave in the end.
Trim
Join Green tread in any st on scarf. Sc evenly around the entire piece. Join the first sc with sl st. End off and weave in the end.
Fringe
1. Wrap green thread around a 3” piece of cardboard about 200 times.
2. Cut thread on one end only to create 100 six inch pieces of thread.
3. Take 2-3 pieces of thread and fold in half. (2 pieces shown on cover.)
4. Insert hook in corner of triangle and place center thread over hook.
5. Draw loop through stitch.
6. Thread over hook with all threads and draw though st.
7. Tighten by pulling ends.
Repeat steps 1-7 above, skipping a sc between the fringe, until the opposite corner is reached. Trim if necessary.
