Easy Baby Booties



These are the simplest booties you will ever make. The only 2 sts you need to know are how to chain (ch) and how to single crochet (sc).For this project you will need 1/2 ounce of worsted weight yarn, size H crochet hook, scissors and a darning needle. The piece you make will look like a large "T" when you are finished.



To begin you will need to decide which size to make. This pattern comes in 4 sizes - NB, 0-3 mo. 3-6 mo. 6-9 mo. and 9-12 mo.

[NB (0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12)]


For NB ch 23, ch 25 for (3-6 mo), ch 29 for (6-9 mo.) or ch 31 for (9-12 mo.) [23, (25, 29, 31) chs made.] Notice that all stitch counts are in brackes with NB size ouside of the parenthesis and all others inside the parenthesis in order of size.


You will now sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. [22, (24, 28, 30) sc made.]




For the next 6 rows (for all sizes) you will ch 1 and turn then sc in each st across. At end of last row. Cut yarn and secure weaving in the end.








You will now count over [8, (9, 11, 12)] sts. Join your yarn in the next st.





Ch 1 and sc in the same st and in each of the next 5 sts (for all sizes.)


Next rows: Ch 1 and sc in each of the 6 sts across for a total of [12, (14, 16, 18) rows.] End off and weave in the end.


You will now have a "T" Shape.






To Assemble follow the directions in the template below.






1. "T" shape.

2. Cross side bar over to toe.

3. Only sew down side.

4. Fold opposite side bar to toe.

5. Sew throug all 3 pieces at toe end.

6. Separate and sew up next side. End off and weave in end.
