How to make an I-Cord


  1. With yarn and hook, make a slip knot and ch 2.

  2. Sk 1 ch and pull up a loop in 2nd ch. (You will now have 2 loops on the hook.)

  3. Remove 2nd loop from hook.

  4. YO  hook and draw up a loop in the remaining loop on hook. 

  5. (Be careful not to unravel the loop you dropped previously.

  6. Insert the loop you dropped earlier back unto hook.

  7. YO hook and draw through the 1st loop only, (2 loops remain on hook.)

  8. Repeat from step 3 to step 6 for pattern until cord is desired length,

  Colorful Flowers Pattern  Materials Needed: 3 yards bright yellow worsted weight yarn. 5 yards contrasting color worsted weight yarn. Size H crochet hook. Rnd 1: With bright yellow yarn and size H hook, ch 4, join to first ch with a sl st to form a ring. Rnd 2: Ch 1, make 10 sc in ring. Join to the first sc with sl st. Rnd 3: *Ch 3, skip 1 sc, sl st in next sc. Repeat from around ending with sl st into first sl st. End off yellow and weave in the end. (5 ch-3 loops made.)  Rnd 4: Attach any contrasting bright color with a sl st in any ch-3 loop. Ch 2, make 3 dc in the same loop.
