Materials Needed:

Size H crochet hook

1 ½ oz. Sugar'n Cream #4  cotton yarn - Soleil Ombre shown


Abbreviations (US): 

st-stitch 

sl st-slip stitch 

sc-single crochet 

dec-decrease (2 sc together) 

inc-increase (2 sc in the same st) 

Puff-Puff stitch, see below. 


Special Stitch

Puff St- Insert hook in the st indicated, yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch, yarn over pull through 2 loops then STOP. You will have a half completed dc hanging from your hook. Repeat the steps 4 more times until you have 5 half completed dc stitches hanging from your hook and 6 loops ON your hook.


Corn Cob

All rows until and including row 30 are finished with a sl st in the first st, turn, chain one and crochet back  in the opposite direction. The bobbles are always made from the wrong side. 


Rnd 1.  Make a magic ring. Ch 1 and make 6 sc in the ring. Join to the 1st st  made with a sl st. Ch 1 and turn. (6 sc made.)

Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. Join, ch 1 and turn.  (12 sc made.)

Rnd 3. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st. Sc in the next st) 6 times.  Join, ch 1 and turn. (12 sts made.)

Rnd 4. (Sc in each of the next 2 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) around.  Join, ch 1 and turn. (16 sts made.)

Rnd 5. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 8 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (16 sts made.)

Rnd 6. (Sc in each of the next 3 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) around.  Join, ch 1 and turn. (20 sts made.)

Rnd 7. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 10 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (20 sts made.)

Rnd 8. (Sc in each of the next 4 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) around.  Join, ch 1 and turn. (24 sts made.)

Rnd 9. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 12 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (24 sts made.)

Rnd 10.  Sc in each st around. Join, ch 1 and turn. (24 sts made.)

Rnd 11. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 12 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (24 sts made.)

Rnds 12-17. Repeat the 10th and 11th rows 8 times until you have 13 rows with bobbles in total. 

Rnd 18. (Sc in each of the next 4 sts. Sc the next 2 sts tog) 4 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (20 sts made.)

Rnd 19. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 10 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (20 sts made.)

Rnd 20. (Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Sc the next 2 sts tog) 8 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (18 sts made.)

Rnd 21. (Make 1 Bobble st in the next st, sc in the next st) 10 times. Join, ch 1 and turn. (18 sts made.)

Rnd 22. Sc the 1st 2 sts tog. Sc in each of the next 8 sts. Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in each of the last 6 sts. (16 sc made.) End off and weave in the end.

  Colorful Flowers Pattern  Materials Needed: 3 yards bright yellow worsted weight yarn. 5 yards contrasting color worsted weight yarn. Size H crochet hook. Rnd 1: With bright yellow yarn and size H hook, ch 4, join to first ch with a sl st to form a ring. Rnd 2: Ch 1, make 10 sc in ring. Join to the first sc with sl st. Rnd 3: *Ch 3, skip 1 sc, sl st in next sc. Repeat from around ending with sl st into first sl st. End off yellow and weave in the end.
