China Cabinet Repurpose

I know this is a crochet blog but I am so excited about my new project that I just had to share. We recently decided to downsize and I had no room for my old Oak China Cabinet. I tried to sell it but no one wants a China Cabinet anymore so I searched and seached for ways to repurpose it. Every idea I found was basically to paint it and take the top doors off. This did not work for me. If I was going to put this piece in my new cabin, it had to be useful.  I finally found an idea that would work for me! Turn the China Cabinet into a kitchen Pantry. Woo hoo, something useful.  Below I am going to show the steps as I go, to show you my progress. Here is what I started with. Beautiful but just not practical for my new smaller home. The idea I found sugessted to dismantle the whole piece.  I had my husband cut the top side supports off and square up the top front. My husband then took all the glass from the doors and created a solid panel for the top 3 doors. Now the fun part....
